BONALLACK & BISHOP - SOLICITORS IN SALISBURY - PRESS RELEASE
22nd April 2010
SOLICITORS RUN FREE ONLINE SEMINARS
Salisbury law firm Bonallack and Bishop are running a free online Intellectual Property seminar in June. The ‘webinar’, entitled Web Designers – Protect Your IP, will be held on Wednesday 23rd June at 1pm.
Laura Trapnell, specialist Intellectual Property Solicitor at the firm, will be hosting the webinar, which is completely free – participants won't even have to pay for the cost of the phone call. All they will need is broadband internet access, a telephone and a spare 20 minutes.
Describing the webinar, Laura said, “Web designers who attend the seminar should come away knowing all they need to know in order to understand how Intellectual Property rights work with websites – from copyright creation, understanding the difference between freelancers and employees and the IP implications this has, dealing with third party images and how not to get hit for damages claims, and how to produce legally binding websites for clients.”
Tim Bishop, Bonallack and Bishop's senior partner, commented, “Laura is an expert in all aspects of Intellectual Property, and a highly engaging speaker and we would recommend that anyone who works in web design takes the time to attend. In fact, the webinar is ideal for the busy working person as it is short, focussed, takes place over lunchtime and participants can attend from the comfort of their own office. This will be the first in a series of IP lunchtime webinars."
