BONALLACK & BISHOP – SOLICITORS IN SALISBURY – PRESS RELEASE
8 March 2011
Salisbury Solicitors Offer Free Surgery for Families of Children with Learning Difficulties
Being a parent can be difficult enough at the best of times, but if you have a child with learning disabilities, you will have particular concerns. One of these will be what will happen to your child if anything happens to you. Who will care for him? How will she manage? What should you leave him? Will the money you leave mean she loses her entitlement to State support?
Parents in this situation must make a Will to safeguard their child’s interests and make sure the money they leave can be used for the maximum benefit of their child whilst retaining their entitlement to any State support available.
This is a specialist area and many parents do not get the advice they need to plan their affairs properly.
Gill Bassett, a Solicitor with Bonallack and Bishop, has 15 years’ experience of working with families of children with learning disabilities and is a MENCAP panel solicitor. She will be running a free surgery for parents of children with learning disabilities at the firm’s Salisbury office on Wednesday 13th April from 10am to 4pm. If you don’t know how to where to start with your Will, or want to find out more about the issues involved, please telephone to make an appointment and come along for 15 minutes’ free advice.
For further information, email Gill Bassett or call Salisbury (01722) 422300.
