Innovative solicitors launch webinar programme/reduce carbon footprint
Bonallack and Bishop, rapidly growing solicitors in Salisbury, Andover and Amesbury ,have announced a regular series of legal advice webinars (web based seminars). The law firm already run about 15 seminars every year but have become aware that some business owners and managers simply run out of time and are unable to spare the time to travel and attend their seminars. In choosing Technilink - DigitalMeeting as their audio and web conferencing partners, Bonallack and Bishop senior partner Tim Bishop said "we are really very excited about the possibilities DigitalMeeting opens up. We plan to use the service in further expanding our marketing drive, already we have three webinars lined up, the first on e-commerce distance selling regulations on June 6. The webinars will be free to attend and take place at 1 p.m. so even the busiest business owner or manager should be able to spare 15 minutes at lunchtime. The cost to us hosting the webinar is minimal. It is about time that solicitors cast off their old-fashioned image and embraced the 21st century and all that its technology can provide.” Richard Butler CEO of Technilink added “We are pleased to partner Bonallack and Bishop on this project, as it shows how a forward thinking company can embrace technology and use it to their advantage. The idea of taking their legal seminars out of the lecture theatre and using the web to broadcast them to an otherwise time-pressured audience is an inspired one.”
Tim Bishop continued " this new service will also enable us to hold virtual meetings simply and cheaply, with full audio and visual input. I'm convinced that we will also therefore make immediate savings in time and money. Currently departmental meetings across our three branches require our people to travel to each other's offices, DigitalMeeting will allow more regular meetings between our lawyers in the comfort of their own office saving considerable travel time, all for just pennies, and we save on our carbon footprint!”
Tim continued “the third advantage to my firm is in improving communications with our clients, particularly those who are overseas or who live and work some distance away from our offices. Using DigitalMeeting we can host conferences with clients, barristers and other experts, with full visual input. The system does not require huge investment and its beauty is its simplicity. I strongly believe that this is a technology whose time has really come."
