Don't Ignore Poor Performance

Recent research has found that whilst schemes for rewarding good performance by employees is on the increase, 60% of employers are doing too little to tackle poorly performing employees.

Poor employee performance is never good for an employer – especially in a recession. Our advice – monitor performance, insist on an immediate improvement from any employee not pulling their weight, and if this still doesn’t work – consider formal disciplinary action – but make sure you follow the employment law procedure carefully.
