Employment Law - New Minimum Wage Rates

money_diceEmployers are reminded that at the start of October, tthe adult National Minimum Wage  rose.

The new national minimum wage rates are as follows:

  • The adult national minimum wage rises from £5.52 to £5.73 an hour.
  • The minimum rate for 18- to 21-year-olds increases from £4.60 to £4.77 an hour
  • The minimum rate for 16- to 17-year-olds is £3.53 an hour instead of £3.40.
