Three Towns Breakfast Club

PRESS RELEASE 17th August 2009

BREAKFAST NETWORKING COMES TO WARMINSTER, WESTBURY & FROME

Wiltshire solicitors Bonallack & Bishop will be extending their successful breakfast club format to cover the Warminster, Westbury and Frome area with the launch of the Three Towns Breakfast Club on 8am on Thursday 17th September at the Corsley Centre, Corsley, Warminster. The Breakfast Club will then run on the third Thursday of every month, offering an opportunity for local businesses to get together every month, exchange ideas and build good local relationships in a relaxed atmosphere. The Breakfast Club will be supported by Business Link.

The Breakfast Clubs were started by the Salisbury Solicitors, Bonallack and Bishop, in Salisbury in April 2008, when, having grown tired of the forced formality and minimum attendance requirements at many other breakfast networking events, the solicitors decided to set up their own. It was such a success that the first Andover Breakfast Club was started in September 2008, the first meeting proving so popular that extra tables were set up and the event spilled over into a side room. Over 350 people have now attended either the Salisbury or Andover Breakfast Club, and there are regularly upwards of 40 people there, ensuring you don’t have to talk to the same old familiar faces month in, month out. Although there are occasional speakers, the emphasis is very much on enjoyment and informality to keep a bright modern approach to the meetings. Breakfast isn’t served until c.8.20am, meaning those with school-run commitments don’t miss out, and only costs £10 per head to cover the cost of the breakfast. So with no commitment, no membership fee, no formality and no early start, can you afford to miss out?

Tim Bishop, senior partner at the law firm, said, “We are very pleased to launch the Three Towns Breakfast Club following the huge success of our breakfast clubs in Salisbury and Andover. July's meeting of the Andover Breakfast Club saw a full house of 80 people and we anticipate between 60 and 80 people at the first meeting of the Three Towns Breakfast Club. Having recently opened a new office in Warminster, we are very keen to become involved in the local community and to play our part in promoting local business. We are pleased that Business Link have kindly agreed to sponsor and support the Breakfast Club as they do in Salisbury and are excited to have the newly opened Corsley Centre as our venue, which I think is an excellent local resource for business meetings. I would encourage anyone involved in a local business to attend.”

Geoff Bartlett, Business Adviser at Business Link said, “We are delighted to support the Three Towns Breakfast club following on from the successful breakfast meetings held in Salisbury and Andover since April 2008. I am sure that many local businesses will benefit from these very popular networking events organised by Bonallack & Bishop.”

Describing the breakfast club concept, Simon Olney, Director of Andover-based Red5Design, commented, “I’ve been to a fair few networking events but feel the Andover Breakfast Club got the mix just right. It was an excellent event and I made some really decent contacts.”

“This is exactly what a breakfast club should be; no pressure and you can come and go as you please. We’re all busy business people and often don’t get the time to network, this was perfect,” said Robert Newman, of Moore Stephens Accountants.
