Salisbury Lawyers Bonallack & Bishop go Yummy For Money
13th March 2009
Visitors to Bonallack & Bishop's office this week are sure to have noticed the delicious smells emanating from the kitchen, as staff at the Salisbury Solicitors raised over £250 for Comic Relief – by eating!
For the two days before Comic Relief and on the day itself everybody in the office enjoyed cuisine from around the world – and paid money for the privilege. On Wednesday employees were offered a traditional English lunch of delicious soups and home-made sun-dried tomato bread, whilst on Thursday they partook in an Italian feast of lasagne and salad followed by tiramisu, culminating on Friday with a grand finale of Indian curry and rice. Other members of staff contributed cakes throughout the week which were sold at a steady rate.
The lunches were the idea of Sonja Barnfield-Hall, Lynne Keates and Sue Modi in the Accounts team who generously undertook to cater the different meals, which were sold at £3 per head, with cakes costing 50p.
Tim Bishop, Senior Partner at the firm, commented, “Comic Relief is a fantastic cause and I’m thrilled that we managed to raise so much money through such a simple idea that was also great for staff morale.”
