Kerry qualified in 1996. She immediately specialised in commercial litigation and landlord and tenant cases, covering a wide range of factual basis on behalf of predominantly claimants.
She spent two years providing advice and representation to receivers, liquidators and administrators on the south coast. This included a wide range of company court work including shareholder disputes, applications to wind up companies, and administration orders. She also assisted with the prosecution of cases of wrongful trading and disqualification of directors.
Kerry decided to concentrate her practice near home in 2000. She retrained in employment law and has since enjoyed success in representing claimants and defendants in this area. Kerry has experience in helping employers and employees resolve the many legal issues found in the workplace. Further in providing advice and representation in particularly lengthy and complex cases including allegations of disability discrimination, sex discrimination, indirect sex discrimination, victimization, whistle blowing and constructive unfair dismissal.
Kerry has regular experience of factually complex business litigation including work in the mercantile court. She adopts a practical and friendly approach advocating mediation where possible. She is known for her patience and tenacity in this area and dealing with the ‘difficult’ client.
Kerry has a particular interest in Equine law.
Kerry was born in Belfast. She lives on a Strawberry PYO Farm and enjoys family life, her two young children, competition riding and country pursuits.
