Margaret was a Personal Assistant for many years with her former firm in Somerset before becoming a fee earner in her own right and has been working as a standalone Conveyancer for many years. Her work is obtained by recommendations from agents, existing clients, other firms and repeat business, and in the past from smaller developers.
Her work consists of sales and purchases of registered and unregistered freehold and leasehold properties, varying from new build to listed buildings, consisting of town houses, estate properties and country houses, together new build plot sales and purchases, plus small parcels of agricultural land.
In the past Margaret also dealt with commercial matters including sales and purchases of small businesses such as greengrocers, post offices, restaurants /public house. The business premises varying in tenure from the grant of a new lease, assignment of an existing longer term lease, together with the sale of the freehold interest. This included an office block in Devon in respect the grant of two short terms lease excluded from the Landlord & Tenant Act and the grant of a further long term lease included within the Act together with the service of a Section 146 Notice.
Since joining Bonallack & Bishop Margaret now only deals with residential Conveyancing, having experience of dealing with properties throughout England and Wales

Interests
Gardening having designed and built her own sub-tropical and Japanese garden, Music, reading, walking, sport, driving and meeting people
She was also a Former Race Horse Owner with her husband who has now retired
