A home information pack is simply a collection of documents about your home including:
- a description of the property
- evidence that you own the property
- information relating to the area in which you live so buyers know if there are issues about subsidence etc
- an energy performance certificate completed by a qualified person.
Putting the pack together takes a few days* and the cost is from £230 inclusive of VAT regardless of size of your property. With our Home Information Packs you can choose either to with pay as you go or defer payment until the property is sold**.
You still need a HIP pack even if you do not use an estate agent.

* If your deeds are held by another solicitor or if we need to contact the freeholder of your leasehold property this will take longer but you will still be able to market your property within 14 days even if these prove difficult to get hold of.
** Pay Later agreement for 9 months will cost £35.00.
*** There are a few exceptions where you won’t need a HIP.
