CORONA VIRUS UPDATE – BONALLACK AND BISHOP RE-OPENED FOR BUSINESS on 7th March, 2022
Update: March 22, 2022
CLOSING OUR OFFICES TO THE PUBLIC
With effect from Monday 7th March, 2022, our offices re-opened to the public. We will be putting up notices to ask that reception areas are not crowded. Screens will remain in place.
Whilst it is no longer a legal requirement to self-isolate, we do ask clients to recognise the possible impact on the health of our staff and their families, as well as other clients. We will also still ask staff to request home working in the event that they do test positive.
We also no longer have to socially distance, have enhanced hygiene, wear masks, etc, although it is recommended. However, again, we ask both staff and clients to remember that other people’s situation may not be as robust as your own – and that as a result they continue to maintain social distancing and enhanced hygiene. Again, as the Government says, this is about being socially responsible so please consider our staff and other clients. Some people are still very fearful.
AVOIDING THE NEED FOR FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS
All of our lawyers are fully set up to work remotely with laptops and full remote access. Some of them work from home, others from our offices. This has a minimal effect on our service delivery – many of our staff have been regularly working from home for the last 10 years, so we had all the systems in place before lockdown was imposed.
Home visits are still available for the vulnerable when strictly necessary.
If possible, please send documents by email. However, if we need hard copy documents, you can leave them with us at any one of our four offices.
Our lawyers and staff remain available, as usual, by phone, email and video call between 9 AM and 5:15 Monday to Friday.
