CORONA VIRUS UPDATE – BONALLACK AND BISHOP REMAIN OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Last updated: June 14, 2021
CLOSING OUR OFFICES TO THE PUBLIC
Please note that in line with the latest Law Society recommendations, our offices currently remain closed to the public to protect our staff and clients. We are however fully operational.
AVOIDING THE NEED FOR FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS
With very few exceptions (e.g. contracts for the sale of land which require a wet signature), the vast majority of our services can be handled remotely without the need for any face-to-face contact.
All of our lawyers are fully set up to work remotely with laptops and full remote access. Some of them work from home, others from our offices. This has had a minimal effect on our service delivery – many of our staff have been regularly working from home for the last 10 years, so we had all the systems in place before lockdown was imposed.
As a result, we are using phone, email and video call to avoid unnecessary face-to-face contact.
However, if a face to face meeting with one of our lawyers is absolutely necessary, then please note that you will need to wear a mask in line with the latest advice from the Law Society. If you have any concerns about this, please discuss it with your lawyer personally.
Home visits are still available for the vulnerable when strictly necessary.
If possible, please send documents by email. However, if we need hard copy documents, you can leave them with us by placing them through the letterbox at any one of our four offices.
Our lawyers and staff remain available, as usual, by phone, email and video call between 9 AM and 5:15 Monday to Friday.
