Coronavirus Update from our Wills, Trusts and Probate Team
Our video Will drafting service
We understand that during the current coronavirus crisis, many people, especially the elderly and those in ill health, are worried that they don’t have an up-to-date will Will.
The answer? Our video Will service.
What we need from you
To make our video Will service work smoothly, we need your help. Call us and we can explain how it works. But, in a nutshell, we need you to:
1. Liase with one of our team and book an appointment
2. Arrange the video call at your end. You will need a reasonably quiet and private room. We can use a number of systems including Zoom, FaceTime and Microsoft Team – whatever works for you.
3. Print off the final version for signing -although we can do this for you and send it in the post.
4. Arranging for two independent people to witness the Will.
How much will it cost?
Exactly the same as a Will for any other client. Just £180 + VAT for a straightforward Will.
Face-to-face Wills?
Yes, if strictly necessary we can arrange face-to-face appointments. However, to protect you and our staff, we are trying to avoid them whenever possible.
Free storage of all Wills
When the Will has been completed, we suggest that you send the original back to us – for safekeeping in our fireproof storage. You should retain a copy of the Will
We remain open for business
Notwithstanding the current lockdown crisis, Bonallack & Bishop remain open for business. Our 4 offices open every day, though with slightly reduced hours. But more importantly, most of our lawyers are currently based at home – so continue to be available for you whatever the circumstances.
