Consultant Solicitor – Family Department
Michelle joined the firm in September 2022 as one of our Consultant Solicitors in our Family Department. She has 25 years experience specialising in Family Law, having previously spent her career working in the North of England. Michelle has also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Family Law and a Master of Arts Degree in “Families, Rights and the Law”, both from Manchester Metropolitan University. She is previous panel members of The Law Society’s Children and Family Panel and for 7 years acted on behalf of children who were taken into our Care system. She is a member of Resolution, which promotes a non-confrontational and constructive approach to resolving family matters and is also a member of The Association of Lawyers for Children. Michelle works hard to try and ensure that cases are resolved without the need to rely on our court system, but equally adopts a firm and robust approach where necessary in order to achieve the best outcome for her client.
Michelle also has a niche practice acting for those in the Aviation industry, such as Pilots, their spouses and partners as an example. As a long standing “pilot wife” she has a deep understanding of the nuances of the Aviation industry and the unique challenges it brings.
