PARALEGALS – we take paralegal training very seriously and regularly take on paralegals as part of our Accelerated Development Programme. Click here for more details of our law graduate paralegal scheme. Regardless of whether we have any current paralegal job vacancies, we are always keen to hear from bright enthusiastic LLB and LPC graduates who are looking for an entry-level legal job and a long-term legal career – and who live near to one of our four branch offices.

REMOTE WORKERS – please note that while some of our vacancies are entirely suitable for remote lawyers, we will only consider applications for these legal jobs from candidates who have already had experience of purely home working for law firms.

2 X Consultant Fee-Sharing Lawyers – (1) Company Commercial and (2) Employment Law

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic and experienced lawyers to work fully remotely, or on a hybrid basis at 1 of our offices, on a part time fee sharing consultancy based.

Both of these legal jobs are suitable for solicitors or legal executives who are able to run files without supervision. Although we have over 65 staff, you will be our only lawyers dealing with these 2 areas of work.

So, if you are a confident, well-presented, friendly and approachable lawyer with excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate

The right candidate will have

  • at least 4 years’ solid experience of High Street legal work – either employment law or company/commercial work
  • great people skills and will be an enthusiastic team player
  • good organisational, time management and IT skills
  • the ability to multi-task under pressure
  • a keen eye for detail
  • the confidence and the ability to react to change whilst working within a pressurised environment
  • excellent standards of client care and great communication skills

Your work

While we are perfectly happy for you to bring in your own work, we already have work in these 2 areas of law which we currently have to turn away or refer on. And we are confident that we can grow this work for the successful candidates. But we do not foresee generating enough work for a full-time position.

We have no objection to the successful candidates working for other firms, or as an independent freelancer, in addition to these legal jobs with us.

Our position

We are a successful mid-sized and growing law firm. And much of our existing work is for private clients. However, it is clear that there is considerable scope to grow our work for business clients. So, we are looking for someone to work with Senior Partner, Tim Bishop, and our marketing team to help grow our business law work.

We already have serious expertise in both commercial property and commercial litigation work. For example, the Head of our Dispute Resolution team is a highly experienced commercial litigator, having been equity partner at top 100 firm, Thrings, for 30 years before joining us.
