Bonallack & Bishop has benefited from Amanda’s expertise in all areas of family law and divorce since she joined the Firm in 1998. With her vast experience as an Accredited Mediator and Chartered Legal Executive Amanda is comfortable in all areas of family law and understands the difficulties faced by her clients especially when children are involved and the emotional and financial stress a family breakdown can cause her clients.
Amanda also recognises that in sensitive family law cases, her clients may prefer a less litigious method of solving their problems and tries to make proceedings as good-natured and cost effective as possible. Amanda’s expertise in these areas is highlighted by her position as a Member of Resolution and a Resolution trained Accredited Family Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer.

Resolution PPC Mediator
All mediators require the services of a PPC (Personal Practise Consultant). This is to assist them in initially achieving their accreditation whilst acting in a mentor type role and after accreditation is achieved for ongoing mentoring in accordance with both Resolution and the Family Mediation Council regulations. Amanda trained as a PPC with Resolution in 2016.
Amanda is one of a small number of accredited family mediators who have been recently trained to improve our family mediation service – to allow each party’s solicitors to attend any mediation meeting.
Military Divorce Specialist
Amanda is very committed to keeping her clients up to date with the progress of their cases whether they live in the UK or aboard and is more than happy to provide Skype or FaceTime if she cannot see them personally. This service is particularly beneficially for her clients that are serving in the Armed Forces and stationed aboard.
Amanda not only has particular experience with military divorce and represents clients overseas, she has also successfully represented clients from the farming sector which entails a very different area of law.
When Amanda has time to relax, she likes to spend it near the sea, whether body boarding in Cornwall or walking the South’s coastal path. Before joining Bonallack & Bishop Amanda worked in Australia and one of her proudest achievements during this time was abseiling down the outside of the Sydney Opera House.
