Residential Conveyancer – Salisbury, Andover, Amesbury or Fordingbridge offices – FULLY REMOTE WORKING AVAILABLE

We have now filled this vacancy

Consultant Fee-Sharing Commercial Property Lawyer – fully remote working available

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced lawyer to work fully remotely, or on a hybrid basis, at 1 of our offices in Wiltshire and Hampshire, on a part time fee sharing consultancy basis.

The job is suitable for solicitors or legal executives who are able to run files without supervision. Currently we have 80 staff, and you will be working alongside our existing commercial property team.

So, if you are a confident, well-presented, friendly and approachable lawyer with excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have;

  • at least 4 years’ relevant and solid experience of High Street commercial property work in England and Wales
  • a stable CV, with lengthy periods with one or more firms. We will not consider candidates who regularly move from one position to another
  • excellent standards of client care and great people and communication skills
  • initiative
  • a strong work ethic
  • an ability to stick to strict deadlines
  • a desire to help in the continuing growth of the firm
  • the ability to multi-task under pressure
  • a keen eye for detail

Our Work
The potentially available work is varied – but broadly typical high-street commercial property work with the possibility of additional work for property investors and smaller developers – often buying residential or mixed-use properties but with commercial elements, such as purchase lease options, delayed completion, assisted sales etc

Your work
While we are perfectly happy for you to bring in your own work, we currently have periods where it’s difficult for us to take on commercial property enquiries, due to issues of capacity.. And we are confident that we can grow this work for the successful candidate. But we do not foresee generating enough work for a full-time position.

Continue working for other law firms
We have no objection to the successful candidates working for other firms, or as an independent freelancer, in addition to these roles with us.

Our position
We are a successful mid-sized and growing law firm.

We already have plenty of experience of making these kind of arrangements work.
Although we remain essentially a High Street firm, we have numerous lawyers who work fully remotely – as far afield as Shrewsbury, the Isle of Wight, Spain and Florida!

And equally, although the majority of our staff are salaried, we do have a number of consultant lawyers already working on fee share consultancy arrangements – which we have successfully run for many years.

Fee sharing
The offer is very simple – a 50-50 split, with the work done under our indemnity insurance.
